I am interested in painting my car with a tinted primer. I like the flat finish look. What type of primer do I buy that will be easily tinted blue. Can I add anything to this primer to give it weather durability or is clearcoating best?

The suede looking paint you see usually isn't primer anymore. They do however make colored primers. To acheive the look you seek I'd pick the blue you like and add a flattening ajent to the clearcoat. This way you acheive your desired look and have all the protection and strenth you need. Or you could find a flat blue tractor paint. Our own Drgnwagn289 painted his suede 'stude with a suede black John Deer tractor paint.
