The car is not original so I don't care about being original. It has a fibreglass front section.
I have being thinking about it for month and I still can't decided.
I am a hood scoop guy and I kinda like the look.
But, most ppl I talked to say it is ugly.
The hood need a repaint so it is time to take it off or not.
It is a fake one so only for the looks

I vote remove. It's a 40s style with an 80s scoop. If you need the air, do louvers.

Agree with the others ^^^^,... it doesn't fit the rest of the look of the car.

It doesn't help any that whomever installed it put it on backwards....the dual scoop end is supposed to be the front.

well my 2 cents - I agree with others does not work with that year car. But to remove it then you have to fix the hood and repaint it. My be hard to match the paint.

I am going to repaint whole car anyway. No hole, it’s a fake scoop… oh yeah, great point, it’s on backwards …. I didn’t think about that till now

No brainer. Get rid of it. Great that there isn't a big hole under it that would have to be patched.

Any mod on the car should fit a "theme" of the rest of the car. That scoop isn't even close! It's like a groom with a tuxedo on fit to perfection and on his head is a wrinkled up cowboy hat. The rest of the front end at least in the photos is stone stock, it looks like a beautiful stock car with a phone book sitting on the hood!

Sorry to be so hard on your awesome car, but you asked. If you hadn't I would have kept my thoughts to myself.
