Opinions greatly appreciated!

Aside from the obvious... MAC, Snap-on and Matco
I am looking for not just research, I can do that anywhere.
But opinions about automotive hand tools.
i.e. brand- with personal opinion of quality/value

Why... well a couple reasons.
Just curious::confused:

1) I have a lot of tools. I've been collecting for years. For whatever reason
I like tools, like most women "love" jewelry... ( Its more the historical part of them)
- I enjoy finding them. Not going on line buying them! I metal detect for fun.
go to yard sales, flea markets etc..

2) My kids are all grown UP! My time is my own now and the boxes are open! I get to go through them along with the multitude of other things I have found. Where better to get tool opinions then from HOT ROD PROS!

My dad died when I was 31, I am 63 now. He left me all his tools, most of which I still have, so I have quite a bit of older stuff. They made them better back then.

old Craftsmen, Snap on, S-K. they are the flea market brands that I look for. Some good deals for tools that are rusty or not perfect, but if it's a wrench, a rusty wrench will still turn a bolt, and you can clean them up with a little time.. Ratchets are ok as long as the mechanism is not locked up

I have Craftsman and I must say that I spend time looking at flea markets too.

As I get older I've started painting my metric stuff. It helps when I'm working under some cars and trucks.

I painted the first set a really nice Blue. (I'm a bit colorblind) My son asked why I painted them Violet.
