I have a 95 Nissan Pathfinder VG30E engine and am tying to do an engine swap , but problem is, I for the life-of-me can't get the torque converter back in the tranny far enough! Any tricks would be appreciated!:welcome:

How do you know it's not all the way in ?? Did you try bolting it in yet.. Don't pull it up with the bolt's... It should turn once it's all bolted up..

I'm supposed to have 1.08 inches between the converter bolt holes to the edge of the bell housing (and that's what I need according to the measurements on the flex plate) and I only have 1/2 inch. Yes I tried putting the engine up to it and it comes against the torque converter 1/2 inch before the bell housing.

One thing I do on particularly sticky ones is grab on both sides of the converter with my fingertips and pull back out slightly, turn a tiny smidge then push back in. Repeat repeat repeat as needed or until you get sick of it.
