hi guys, im wondering, will the rear end components from a 79 camaro work in the rear end of a 79 Trans am..
the reason for me doing this is because my T/A has 2.41-1 and this camaro has 3.08-1...thanks alot

IF it is a junk yard deal, it is almost easier to change the whole rear end.
If you know somebody who can set up the new gears for $100 labor or so, maybe not.

Remember you have to take both of them apart and then put one together custom shimming all the clearances and torquing everything. And you might need all new bearings too.
