I AM WORKING ON A 1948 F1 TRUCK WITH A 351 ENG. AND A C6 TRANSMISSION. Modified original trans. support ( for a manual trans & much less horsepower) to support the c6. Last weekend I removed everything but the frame, engine, transmission and supports. Now that I can see it better --not sure that the trans. support is enough. Any advice on how to beef up the support or is it necessary?

:)

I usually try to fabricate a removable transmission mount. Just in case I want to remove the transmission and NOT pull the engine. I usually end up with something like this ... this is a 32 Ford frame but you can see how it could work in your 48 F1.
