i have 2 1980 dodge miradas ..one with a 318 v8 and one with a slant 6 225. i would like to know if the tranny fron the slant 6 would fit on the v8... and how could i tell what transmission they are?

Mirada! Wow! Nobody cares about them.I never worked on slant sixes but I believe the bolt pattern is different.Is it a case of one car with good engine and the other with good tranny?
