[Thirty Seven Ply]

Hi,
I found a trunk handle for a 1937 Plymouth at a swap meet.
It needs to be rechromed so I want to take it apart. I removed the C clip and took off the mounting plate and spring. Does anyone know how to remove the lock cylinder?

I have done it

I'm a newbe here and NO expert, but i have done that on my 47 Ply. It was many years ago but if i remember right you need the key, turn the key in the lock cly. then you have to push the pin down, and pull the cyl. out. sounds ezy but the things can get rusted in there real bad. But in short that small pin has to be pushed down so can can pull it out.......

I have a 49 DeSoto and your comment worked! Insert the key, turn it until the pin can push down and then it pops right out.
