The catalog price of sheet metal tubs for narrowed rear ends is about $500. I need some ideas on how to make some at considerably lower cost. Your ideas will be appreciated.

this is just an idea, and i have NO metal experience at all, but anyway, could you buy fenders for a utility trailer and then just fill in the side with sheet metal? Just an idea.

I don't know where you do your shopping but Summit Racing has steel or aluminum wheel tubs available in their catalog in three sizes for under $70 a pair. They're sheet metal and you assemble them yourself. With two people you can do it in about 15 minutes. (Tab 'a' fits into slot 'b' and you hamer over tab 'c' to finish the job. It's that simple.)

Absolutly. Been running the steel ones on my pro-street car for four years. No problems so far. Aluminum might dent easier though.
