Hey Ya'll,
I have an Edelbrock Street Tunnel Ram, that I want to put on my 350cid. I don't want to build a racing engine, but I wanted to put the tunnel ram on there just for looks. I was told that i could put two 750cfm carbs on it, but unhook the vacuum secondaries, and I wouldn't have to go much more than stock with my engine. Can anyone confirm this?

Sounds a little much for a little over stock 350 for me. If you plan on going with a tunnel ram I would put on smaller carbs, possibly a pair of Holley 470 street avengers or edelbrock 500's. Looking cool and running bad isn't much help.
I'm pretty sure that the formula for figuring out cfm is the cubic inches x peak rpm's / 3456. This should give you peak cfm. Ex: 350x5500rpm=1925000/3456=557cfm's.

Yeah, the 750's would be too much. I was mistaking about that. The engine is gonna have a stock bottom end, but I wanted to put better heads on it, with a bigger cam and headers. I just didn't want to build a racing engine for something I don't plan to race. The engine would be going in a 1950 Chevy 1/2 truck. It will not be a race car or a daily driver. More like a weekend cruiser. If I run the tunnel ram with the 470's or 500's, what should I do do the engine to make it work well? Thanks for your help!

If you are going to be using it for driving to shows and around town w/potential of driving long distances I would not go too radical. Edelbrock makes some nice packages(cam/lifters) that would suit your needs. It all depends if you want all low end torque or a good mix of both. The performer RPM package gives you a good mix with decent low end. Crane Energy cams also work very well, but a lot depends on the head work.
Either way a small pair of carbs would work great for you!
