if you are talking about the input shaft end play? An H gauge tool may work? that tool is not too common any longer... I would set the trans internals up minus the pump. Since the pump is apart, use the pump cover aka stator support. Leave sealing rings out. slip stator support in place with thrust washer on, gaskets in place. . Then check end play.A Duh question. Can the end play be measured without the pump installed? I measured without it just for shoots and giggles. Got .125. There is a selective washer installed. I know play is to be .015-.036. Waiting on a ring/rotor set. The reason I ask is if I have to get a selective washer I want to do it now since it takes 4 days to get parts.
