Just built my first automatic> No power @ take off, second works, and drive works under no load. very frusteratingain:

did you replace the torque converter ?
did you flush the trans oil cooler ?
does your trans have the shift cable going
to the carb linkage ? and if so .. dod you adjust it ?

T/H 350 issues

I did not replace the torque converter. The old tranny filled with antifreeze and smoked the clutches. yes the kick down cable is adjusted and i tried two differnet valve body's and two vacuum modulators. I am think now that the sprag(???) roller bearing are in backwards. Just a guess though. thanks for the info and I'll keep searching
