I don't have a hotrod, but I'd like to pick some brains, if I may. (It's a 2009 motorcycle.)
I replaced some 21W blinkers with 10W units. Initially they flash at the correct rate, but almost always flash at 2x rate. Under load, on the highway they more often work properly. I have verified that the flasher is OK by reinstalling the original flashers.
I believe the flasher relay is a thermal one - should I switch it for an electronic or electro-mechanical one?
