i have seen where the new thing is to use spray on truck bed liner, but you have to be able to get underneath it. not line-x cause they didn't know what i was talking about. that would be the spendiest. i used that zero rust red oxide on the floor of my truck. over that, and underneath the cab and under the box i just shot it (after i pressure washed it) with that rubberized undercoating spray paint and gave it like 4 or five coats. i left my frame alone since it was blasted then primered with industrial red oxide then frame paint. course, i haven't let it sit by the beach for 10 years to test it yet.

I have noticed my brother use spray bedliner before, he says it works great and reduces road noise too. He even used roof pitch (tar?) once because the customer wanted it, he was surprised at how well it worked (takes awhile to cure though) Seems to me this would be messy and hard to apply. :)
