hey guys i have heard that if you are running vortech heads on a 350 you need to have your idle and timing and spark gap set differently then if you were running stock equipment Any ideas.

Vortec head timing

The GM Vortec heads generally don't like as much total timing as the older style heads did, but the usually run better with a little more initial timing. From what we've seen about 4 degrees less total advance is a safe starting point, and 2 or 3 more initial.
You'll need to recurve your distributor to get this set properly.
