Voting Starts Now !! September's "Buick 69 through 72" Hotrodders Art Contest.

Last month our member 57 Corvette stole the victory away from various artists with themuch asked for "Rust Is A Must" Contest here on Hotrodders, it was a tight one down to the end. 57 Corvette heeded the words of the members and chose what they would like to have seen, the Buick 69 to 72 Era Skylarks, GS, GSX and more. This one should have been the toughest again for many since we now have a unique body style to work with.

Again, you'll see the artists trying to capture various styles of artwork, photo manipulation and so forth to bring you some cool hotrodders art to view and vote on.

Images Are in Order of Submissions, Some Have More Than One !! In their entries so please take a close look at who you vote for and all images submitted have been resized for quicker loading and a link has been placed below the smaller image to view the original member’s submission, some are much larger and details in smaller images become more evident in the large versions.

It's now up to you to stop in and vote, take a good look at all the images, vote for your idea of what you like since art is in the eye of the beholder and enjoy the members works !!

Voting begins on September 27th Midnight and runs for 5 days as the message board poll will close automatically. The winner of the contest will choose the next "Subject" of The Hotrodders Art Contest" for his efforts.

1: Omegas Skylark HDR Photo Manipulations
Omega kicked off this months submissions with a new look to his oustanding HDR processes, this is one of the most favored in all of photography and definatly a skill that is worked to a fine point with him, HDR can do amazing things, add light, bring out detail and color and shine that a normal clean or corection just lacks. Omega is reaching more and more with each entry towards a new style we all can appreciate. Omega has included 3 images in his entries.

2: 57 Corvettes Skylark Photo Manipulations
The champion of last months contest again drops in an array of images filled with an abundant amount of color, class, contrast and deep design roots that most here have begun to appreciate more and more with his rendings using high contrast, alot of digital image manipulation with deep glossy images, cool reflections and framing to finish off his designs as a proffesional in all standards and a hotrodders.com favorite of the web and friends. 57Corvette has entered 3 images.

3: BOWTIEKID's "Grunge Effect, Canyon Carver"
Making use of small images, and manipulating them with details is far from easy, good quality photos are need or you have to hone your skills to a preciselevel to finish a product that can be added with some great content for a contest. Bowtiekid has been bringing more and more to this contest and inspiring others to try as well. His entry this month again is a killer stance, a deep impact of the use of filters and bit of HDR screen mode style or aged "Grunge look if you will.

4: Only Racings Bu-Whacked Skylark In Grey
Dropped this one in just in time, figured I give a different look a try, a combination of line art, high key techniques that are mainly used for illustrations from photos to portraits and some 60's style graphics all in greys and blacks, this is Bu-Whacked on the back tires.

Thanks for the kudos BTK, I've been writing code for two weeks straight and finally I get to type some words, lol. Great job by everyone so far, it was a short month but someimes it happens. Would have loved to have seen what the others came up with.

That would be a great idea that the guys could do a custom for October in any style rod or machine for Halloween with possibly a theme to it. Cofins, heare's (sp) bats, goblins, gravestones and so on. With the contest for next month being voted on halloween. Cool Idea eloceloc431962

That was my thinking as well ......Halloween Hot Rods, any year, make or model as long as it has a Halloween theme. Could be a lot of fun and makes it easier that you can use any ride you want .......

Please feel free to choose whatever you like in your wording, I see the Halloween thing has you a bit enthused so pick a catchy title and go for it.

BTW, it was also great seeing so many get votes, it was a full house this month for each and everyone to see some votes for them.

I think this one will be a hit Bob, great choice by members and artists, get out your ghosts, goblins, and creatures for this one. Also carefull of trademarked images for use like "Herman Munster and so on"
