Hey dudes-

WHat precautions do you have to take welding on a computer equipped car, as to insure that the computer doesn't get fried? Up till now I've never had to weld on one of these new fangled mobiles, but now I do, and I don't want to fry my computer...

I've heard just disconnect the neg battery cable? Is that enough?

Unhook the batteries.Same as on the trucks at work. You are taking away the ground to the ecm and will not get a charge running thru it to the ecm.

Hey Killer,

Everything that was stated above (about disconnecting the battery) and to put your GROUND Lead for the welder as close as possible to what you are welding on.

Good Luck,

Seth
