Hi wondering what brands of roller lifters are good other than AC Delco? Sealed power, any others that wont break the bank?

Also whats different about heavy duty valve springs, for say towing or marine use with a stock cam on 906 heads? Just more sustained rpms at around 3500 for hours on end.. will stock springs handle this?

Stock springs on a stock cam will handle this just fine. The big trick in your case is to be sure they are receiving oil. This is how valve springs are cooled. The Gen III and up engines like the Gen I and II before them are oiled by bleed from the lifters up the push rod to spray from the back side of the rocker arm. So you might want to pull the valve covers to see that this is happening. Failure to oil the top end is a common problem, so you want to see that is happening. The first clue that it is not is dryness on any one of the rocker assemblies.
