back to a polishing question,am polishing with jewlers rouge and what is the best solution for cleaning the black residue off part being polished....been at the rodeo before but was not on line at the time and crs is overtaking me ya know what I mean ? Anyone? soap& hot water? thanks

You answered your own question. I use dish soap and water.
