Hi, I just thought it would be interesting to see what everyone has (what cars/motors...), and what it runs if it has ever been to the track. I think we could all learn from each others combonations and experiences.

Adam

this is what I run.

1969 firebird (3000 lbs w/o driver)
358 14.7:1 compression (3.295 stroke 4.155 bore)
Bordix 11X heads ported by HVH
Crane cam around 280 dur @.050 .675 lift
motor made 617 hp @ 7800 RPM
Powerglide 5000 stall w/ brake, 488 gear 28/11.5 tire
ran 7.15 in the 1/8th on motor 6.29 on a 100 shot.

I have never been too much of a mustang guy, but if there was one that I would like to have it would be a 1969. I love the Mach 1's. It looks like you have a nice car to start out with.

Oh how embarassing....:(

-1969 VW Beetle
-Very leaky 1600cc single port
-4 speed manual transmission/Scat Dragfast shifter
-Several witty decals on rear window ie. "There is no substitute for horsepower" and "Boldly going nowhere"

Of course, this is my NEXT project....

I have a 1922 T-bucket with a 350, 30 over, wieand tunnel ram with single 750 double pumper, rv cam, and turbo350 trans, 1500 lbs, w/o driver.

1978 nova, 350, bored 30, forged internals, 700r4 custom built trans (full manual), 200 shot nitrous, oh yeah, 750 double pumper on this one too, mallory ignition, hooker headers, true 3" duals with flowmaster delta 30s or 40s, can't remember.... It runs an 11.90 without the nitrous in the 1/4 because i am waiting to get a retard module for my ignition so I can spray safe.

1994 Camaro Z28 Lt1 6-speed with not alot done to it, but it runs 13.8s and still gets 27mpg! <---- daily driver

and I just picked up a 1916 model T body and I am going to build another t bucket but more of a truck type.... should be fun..

2002 Corvette, 1970 Dodge Charger R/T, 1969 Pontiac Firebird, 1999 Chevy Tahoe and a 18 HP John Deere Riding mower with a tire that keeps going flat while I'm mulching leaves that keep falling faster than I can run wide open. I hate this time of year!

Hmm. Nothing as cool as an 02 Vette or a Charger but . . .

1966 GMC 3/4 Ton. 350 with a TPI (soon to be Stealth Ram). Pretty much stock bottom end. Trick flow heads (not on yet but this coming week), Dynomax Ceramic headers, Crane Multispark, Stock GM HEI, Dual 2.5 Flowmasters (soon to be something else . . . flowmasters make it sound like everyone elses rod I hate it). Um Th-350 tranny turning 4.10 limited slip rear. A couple stickers inside the engine compartment but nothing thats going to add too much power.

Here is a look of how it is now:

(for now) 8.5:1 CR (chevy) 355; stock 882 heads w/gasket matched intake ports
Crower 267 HDP cam (210/[email protected], .444 lift), performer intake and 1406 carb.
heddmann shorty's w/dual exhaust
MSD kit #8501 on stock HEI; spiral core wires
TH350 w/2400 stall
narrowed 9", moser 31 spline axles, powertrax locker, 3.50 gear

I wanted to build the cheapest bracket car possible (still in college - limited $$$) and the only new parts on the car are the axles, differential, exhaust, and radiator. Best ET to date is a 14.057 at 97.57 mph on street tires. Best on slicks was a 14.099 at 97.70 mph.

I just recently sold the 1970 Camaro in my "avtar" I sold it minus the running gear. I am now building a 1962 Buick Skylark to put the running gear into. Should be lots of fun.

Didn't take the Camaro to the track with the blown engine. It ran 11.90's before on pump gas, street tire, no nitrous (NO TRAILER).

The engine is a 388ci small block, 8.47:1 compression, custom ground solid flat tappet cam, Ported Dart Pro 1 215 cc heads, large port Blower Shop manifold (port matched to the heads), Wiseco pistons, 4340 Crank, H-beam rods, 8-71 Don Hampton supercharger running 10% underdriven and making 12lbs of boost on pump gas, two Holley 750DP's carbs. Makes lots of noise and burns mucho gas.

Never been on the dyno should make ~700-750HP.

Hope to have the Skylark on the road by summer and it should be VERY light and I am hoping to run in the 9's (time will tell) still on pump gas and driven to and from the track.

Must have been tough parting with the Camero Royce! You back halfing the Skylark?

My project is a '68 Nova, 10-point Alston cage, Alston Eliminator 4-link back half kit, fully braced FAB 9", QA Coil overs, big ends, 4:11, MW axles, detroit sof-locker, tubbed, full length tunnel, 4 wheel power discs, '84 AstroVan fronts, '70 Cad rear, 31x15x18.5 M/T Pros, centerline pro convos, T-400, Hughes pro rebuild kit, transgo shift kit, quarterstick pistol, RCI cell, BG 220HR fuel pump, BG5000 filter, 383 SBC, Milidon splayed caps, Lunati solid roller, Lunati popup lifters and springs, JE pistons, H beam 4340 rods, 4340 crank, comp roller rockers 1.6, Milidon pan, Dart Pro 1's, 215's, ROMAC stainless blower damper, double keyed, Weiand 8-71, dual BG 750BC's, MSD small cap billet, BTM-6, MSD HVC II coil, a few Lokar items, summit flex plate, powermaster mini starter. Still need a few things, rings, converter, water pump, radiator, etc., but for the most part it's all here.

I'll run it eventually and don't have a clue what it'll do. The engine parts are scattered in my computer room as I just got my block back. The mock-up seen in my album is a spare block, but it's .040 already, just can't make myself to toss it, I have parts to make a pretty strong unblown motor. Also have extra everything, new glass, two hoods, trunk lids, fender set, I need to buy a new garage with a house attached.

We're a strange breed, eh?
