thats funny, I got a 9" out of a truck with a locker and 3.90'ish gears for 75 bucksDepends on what you call a good 9 inch. A good 9 inch to me would be around $2800. That gets you a nodular case with a Daytona pinion housing, 31 spline axles, a Dura Grip or Detroit Locker and a new heavy duty housing. Almost any 9 inch that you get from a salvage yard or out of something old is going to need a complete rebuild, and it's probably going to have 28 spline axles and a standard differential. Figure on at least $400 for the rebuld and another $900 or more to replace the axles and differential.
