I bought a pair of 1966 Mercury Cyclone bucket seats for my 66 Comet to replace the Dodge Daytona bucket seats but they need to be recovered. What is a good material to use????I have talked to some people who recover seats and they recommend Nagahyde (not sure of spelling), is this any better than the old Vinyl seat coverings, and what about cloth. I am not going to go with Leather because of the cost so which of the 3 would be the best in terms of cost and durability, and won't fry or freeze my butt when I sit on it. Nagahyde, Cloth or Vinyl???????

cloth or vinyl is your choice, each has advantages and dis, naugahyde is a brand name that stuck like Jello or Kleenex, many different types of vinyl, some soft some hard some durable some not, check with reputable trim shop.

If you're really worried that much about the Summer FRY and Winter FREEZE of you lower end and thighs cloth upholstery is the only way to go. Use a good grade of Automotive body cloth not furniture material. Your local top-notch upholstery shop owner should be able to help you out with sample books and such. Rely on their expertise, remember, they make their living with repeat business!
