Hello to all. I'm looking for some sound advice here. Me and a friend have been working on a frame off resto on a 68 camaro for about one year to the day. the car has been bare metal for most of the time. The body work will be done in a couple months. The shop we're in is fairly dry, and we have not experienced any "visible" rust to speak of. The car is going to be driven alot and durability is my main concern. How should I prep right before primer and what primer do I use-Epoxy, Veriprime, sealer, buildable, sandable, nonsandable? I'm lost in a sea of primer. S.O.S

If the car has say for a long period of time, I would scuff over all the bare metal with some sandpaper to sand off the rust that has started. It may not be visible but it is there. Then clean the surface with a good wax and grease remover. Surface must be clean. A good old wise bodyman once told me "you can't paint over a powdered donut". Allow to dry thoroghly. Spray on one good coat of a good etch primer. Let dry. Then spray three coats of a good urethane sandable primer. This you can block out good and if needed you can reprime.
