What thread size and lenght bolts do I need for a TH400 to BBC hookup? Are all 6 going to be equal length? I pulled this 400 from behind a 350 and I think the last user dug whatever would fit out of a pile'o bolts.

I believe the bolts are 3/8 x 16 thread

20 or 16, i can compare to one of the bolts that fit. 20 sounds like the finer threads.

on the subject, what about the bolts for the trans mount? i think they are much smaller, but I don't have any old ones for comparison.

t-400 mount bolts will be a 7/16 course thread or a metric 10mm x 1.5 thread.

10mm x 1.5 thread is close to a 3/8 bolt size . but the 3/8 will fit in the hole loosely.
