Here's the back ground info: Changed to AutoMeter Phantom gauges in my '40 Buick streetrod a few years back and sent the factory clock(which is located in the center of the glove box door) to be upgraded to 12V and the outward appearance changed to match the Phantom gauges. After awhile, the clock quit working but the big problem was the wires coming thru the glove box to the door to power the clock. They were always in the way and always caused problems with the glove box and door. Remedy: I would like to change to a quartz style, AA battery powered,NiCad,Lithium, or whatever style to make a working clock without any wires attached to it. The person who restored the clock the first time told me he did not do quartz conversions, only restorations, and that a clock like I was wanting would not hold up due to the vibration, etc. I am open for suggestions about how to do this, or would like any information about someone who would do it and make it work. thanks...PACO
