i have a 454 block and it has two scraches on two cylinders i don't think they can be honed out and the engine is alreday bored 60 over so i am not shure what to do the scraches are within range of the rings thanks for the help

I believe sleves can be put in at the machine shop in both cyn. to cover the scratchs. Ask your machine shop about it they would be able to tell you if they can do it and if it will be a good idea.

There is nothing wrong with sleaving the block but it can be expensive. It's often cheaper to find another block. Check out both options before you sink money into sleaving the block.

Very true tresi I forgot to tell you that. I think that maybe taking it to a shop they would sonic test the block for you and tell you what kinda shape it's in. I mean if you really want to use this block then use it with sleaves but look into the cost before doing anything you may be suprised by what you find.
