Is there a full sized transmission that will hook up to a 4.0 V6 out of an 92 Ford Explorer ?

I'd like to use this engine in a hot rod project but the explorer and smaller transmissions are scarp even when they were new.

Yes it is possible, but you will have to do some scrounging to locate the parts needed to put a C-4 behind it.
