I like the look without vent windows, gives it a smoother appearence. However, are you going to use AC? If not those vent windows may come in handy.

I LOVE vent windows!
:D

Great ashtrays ... but, I think they just make me nostalgic - I haven't had 'em in so long, I've really missed 'em. And now that I got my "new" truck, I'm just tickled pink to have 'em again.

I say keep 'em!

that's a toughy, I'm in the same boat...haven't quite decided. On one hand, vent windows are somewhat unique to older vehicles, and they are kind of cool just for that reason.

On the other hand, they are kind of clunky, and they don't look so smooth...not to mention they make changing glass in doors a pain in the arse, and the extra seal and crap is just one more place that may leak...PLUS the security issues involved with them, if you have a nice stereo or something it might be a bad idea to keep them.

I'd say go one piece, and keep the vents just in case you want a change. =)

Just my opinion, of course, but I went w/out vents on my 'J' cause I chopped it- I think a chopped vehicle is cool w/out the vents. Unchopped- your decision. I do like the look w/out. Good Luck! (hint: do a drawing with and w/out and see what YOU like best!!)

Horvath; Man am I disappointed in you. I can't believe, a) you are a coffin nail addict or, b) you would even consider ruining the interior of that great old truck by burning those vile weeds inside it. :(  :(

Vents all the way. I hate that new cars don't have them. you can't open the window when its raining, but if you have vents you can still get air! Vents may not be the smoothest looking thing, but they are most definatly functional and with a little work you can smooth them out, you see alot of customs with smoothed out vent window systems. pay attention, you'll see.

Well guys it looks like about half and half. I think for now its vents, but not for flicking ashes off butts. This weekend i go to work on the chassis.
Thanks for the ideas on vent windows.
