Wheel hop in C10 pickup

Hello, My 85 C10 vortec performer cam 305 has a wheel hop problem. The rear 8.5 has 3.73's and stock leafs with new reflex shocks. The dynamic 3000 stall allows for some nice launches similar to a grand national. The problem , the wheels do not spin nice, sometimes hop violently. What are my choices to control this without using a pinion snubber type device?

TRaction bars ? Repacking the leafs? Something that im not familiar?

In chicago the only place that repacks the leafs is grants spring on cicero and 135th. Suggestion and recommendations welcome.

Do i need cal tracks? Like below, or will repacking the stock leafs help?

The suspension is stock with a stock ride height.

If standard lakewood universal bars will help, how do they clear the bottom mounted flange? A spacer and longer u bolts.

A link to pictures of some installed would help me.
Cal-trac's will work. With a set on my S-10, I ended up dropping the spring pack to just 2 leaves.

Thank you for your reply. My knowledge is a little weak on launch mechanics. What is the benefit of reducing the leafs in pack?

How far down do Cal tracks hang under the flange ? Will they contact bumps and such?

Reducing the spring pack allows the bars to "work" better. I don't carry anything in the bed, so the ride feel is unaffected. My pix will answer your other questions...

Looks nice and tight.

A turbo S10? Ride on.

You think that setup will improve my wheel hop? Most think a 305 with vortec 906 heads and performer cam/intake is a waste, but its pretty fun.
I am running Cal Tracks in my 01 Dodge Dakota R/T. Decent amount of engine and tranny mods, no wheel hop. Have had them for going on 8 years with no issues - sometimes they make a little noise when turning onto steep driveways, but otherwise you won't even notice them there until you get on it.
I have a set of caltracs on my 58 Chevy PU. They hook up! If they have springs for your application I would buy them at the same time. Or you will need to take a leaf or 2 out as said before, they really stiffen the spring rate a lot.
