My wheel have been primed and painted with Duplicolor silver. My question is can i now shoot Nason 496-00 clear coat over them after the seven-day drying period is over. In other words are the two products compatible. I believe the Nason is polyurethane and the Duplicolor is acrylic lacquer. Thanks.

You should be able to clear coat but you will need to scuff sand frist. Use a gray scuff pad and scuff good. Be sure gloss is scuffed off. If you want some added insurance hit it with a clear addhesion promotor like Bull Dog frist then clear.

And by the way, mount the tire first if you haven't. That is the trick to doing wheels, mount the tire but don't bead it. Then you can stuff paper between the tire and the rim paint the rim remove the paper and fill the tire up beading it.
