I'm one of the Mods here, I'm trying to edit your post as to help you get more response. Are you meaning Where are my poly 318 experts? This will also help for further search engine functions. Thanks, Dan

Poly 318

I would think it would be possible to use the Scat 4.0" stroker crank for about 390 inches. I think Speed O Motive makes a kit for the wedge 318 the pistons would only need the valve reliefs cut for the poly. I would try Chet Herbert for a cam for this. TTI makes headers for the poly. Weiand makes a 4bbl aluminum manifold and there was a 2 4bbl factory cast iron manifold. A Mopar Performance electronic distributor kit for a small block would work with this.
Forged pistons

Found these forged pistons for a "non LA" engine maybe they will fit your needs

How is this project coming along?

The Weiand manifold mentioned went out of production some time ago. Little loss, it was a bit on the old fashioned side and comparatively inefficient. The Edelbrock 3 x 2 was probably better, but stuck with 3 x 2bbls which tend to daunt home tuners.

I've decided to go ahead and build a much more modern Poly 318 manifold and hope to get the patterns well advanced in the next few weeks. A lot depends on my work, but I've got an engine set up in my workshop now and I've got most of the gear I need ready to do the job.

The basic reason I'm doing this is because my nephew is building a Poly-engined road race car for historic sedan racing and needs something decent to help him make big power. If I have to go to the trouble, I might as well fill the worldwide void in the list of available intakes.

Just out of curiosity, what model engine are you building?

If possible, what's it out of? What year?

And if at all possible, can you get photos of the main bearing webs looking from either the front or the rear for me please?

Ray,good to hear theres still hope for the ol' poly lovers out there. I recall alot of talk on the yahoo poly group back when I was a poly owner.
Good luck on the project!
