Hi all, I think I'm going to switch from my Turbo 400 to a four gear. Which would be the best solution behind a 454 in a Chevelle? Saginaw, Muncie M20/21/22, Super t-10? Whaddya think?
I would have to say the Muncie, due to availiability alone. The Saginaw is not strong enough when compared to the Muncie or the Super T10. Parts for Muncies are all over the place, kinda like small block Chevy's'. An M22 is going to cost you a bunch for very little difference in strength. Look for an M20 or M21 depending on what gear ratio you are looking for. You can purchase a new M20, M21, or M22 with the new Super case from 4 speeds.com.
Well tha tis certainly a good thing to know about those guys..Up to now have only been able to locate some used boxes at outrageous prices..
Wonder how the new Muncie compares to the new Richmond gear super t-10?
Thanks for putting that info up 302/Z28:thumbup:
