I was wondering which stall converter would be best for my application and goal. The motor is a 383 with a comp cams extreme energy hydraulic flat tappet. 240/246 at .050 lift
507/510 max lift. AFR 180cc heads running 10.5 to 1 compression. Im wanting a good stall that wont drag the brakes at idle and give me a good flash stall while still being streetable. the recommended stall for that cam is 2800+. THe two converters i was looking at are either a B&M holeshot 3000 , which is supposed to give between a 2800 and 3200 stall. Or a TCI street fighter 3000-3500. ill be running 3.73 gears in the rear. THe car is a 79 camaro and weighs around 3700 to 3800 lbs. like i said, im wanting a fairly loose stall so it wont drag too hard on the brakes at idle, and so it will idle better, but i still want it streetable so i wont burn it up. thanks for any help
