I have a 68 chevy 327, which has forged 10.5/1 pistions 30 over, a steel crank, edelbrock proformer rpm cam, world cast 64cc heads, pete jackson gear drive, a edelbrock 750cfm carb, and a 350 turbo trans. I was thinking of using the Mallory distributor and Mallory MSD-6a electronic ignition.

Will that combination work with my motor? any better suggestions? Thanks

Well I have an MSD Pro-billet HEI and a 6AL box. I am very happy with the set up and it is trouble free. On another note that carb is a little big for that engine/cam set up don't you think.

Mallory distributors work well. I like the Crane HI6 better than the MSD 6AL. The timing curve is more important than what kind of distributor you run.

The carb isn't necessarily too big. 10.5:1 requires more carb.

I had the motor build about 8 years ago, but have not heard it run yet. I can't wait to hear it. I will have to research the two distributors and ignitions and make a decision. Thanks

How much horse power do you think the motor will put out?
