hey guys,just wondering what anyone thougt we be good choice for intake gasket for my 87 5.7L 350 i'am putting a holley street dominator intake on it.i have 3 sets of fel-pro's part#1204,1256,ms90314-2.this is basicly a stock motor,intake part#300-64.thanks joe.

You need to use the Fel-Pro 1204 because of the Gaskets composition and the fact that you are using an aluminum intake. The 1204's material/with the sicone beading is spec'ed for aluminum-to-iron and aluminum-to-aluminum combinations.

Does the intake have an exhaust cross-over?? The gasket can be trimmed as needed with a razor knife.

it's a water crossover witch the 1256 has the 1204 is blocked with thin metal plate.

If it is the center of the gasket it is the exhaust cross-over that runs under the carb area, heating the intake for cold weather ease of use. If it is at the ends of the gasket it is water port.

ok i got ya it is the center port under carb so i just need to remove the thin metal block off plate and should be ok.
