Why does the E.C.M. keep blowing on my dad's 40 Ford???? It has all new wiring and it has blown several modules. We don't know if it is a common problem or what. The car has a 350/350 in it with an HEI distributor in it. we have bought a new rebuilt distributor and it still blows them.

I would suggest going at the individual terminals on the ecm plug with a volt meter... perhaps ecm is getting too much power and frying it out?
