Hello, I just bought a Innovate 3844 afr meter that came with the lsu4.2 sensor. My old diy unit used a bosch 17053 sensor. Are these 2 the same?

They are not the same Bosch parts number, but they are both 5 wire sensors.

I replaced the LSU 4.2 sensor in my AFR meter and was able to use a standard Bosch sensor from Autozone under parts number 17014. This is the sensor for a 2002 Jetta 1.8T (and some other similar VW's).

So the 17014 which Ive heard of and seen on amazon is the same as an lsu4.2?

Several online references show that the 17014 is the same as the lsu 4.2.

Advanced Auto Parts (I mistakenly said Autozone the first time) carries it in the store for $56.99, so its very close to the price you can get through Amazon online.
