I wanted to know if not having a cooling fan on your car (91 Camaro RS) would be enough to make it overheat. Could the fan make the difference between the car overheating and not overheating. I really need an answer to this question so anything you know would really be appreciated.

YES.

Your car has airdams under it to effectively cool the engine while in motion.

When you are at a stop light (or any other non-movement period), there will be no air flow through the radiator and you will overheat. The fan is there for the non-movement periods.

I suppose if you can drive without ever stopping and also happen to live in a cold environment you may be able to get by.
