I just got in the house, I was installing new gauges in the white caprice, thinking "damn it's cold out here." I grabbed my flash and looked at the thermometer on the deck, 33 degrees! It's going down to 22 tonight.

Got off work last nite and the van windows were frosted, first one of the year which is odd.It was 32 this morning and gonna be the same tonight.I hate third shift because it is colder in the winter at nights of course and all the trucks have air problems when it gets cold and you get to fix them outside.Whew what a occupation I chose.Kicking self in * every chance I get.
HAHA, we just had some snow here in rochester, enough to turn everything white.
good thing my babies all wrapped up in the garage at home.. far far away from salt hell

by the way have i told you how much i hate winter?
yeah, its pretty chilly down here too......... i think it was 72 today.......... buurrrrrr, cold, lol :p
I LOVE HOUSTON!!!!!!! weather wise that is.......... little chilli in the morning, but bearable. feels great in the afternoon. roll my windows down, crank the sterio, and drive. feels great.
I had to wear a long sleeve shirt over my t-shirt yesterday dor a coupla hours. Yes, winter is here.:D Dan
4" on the ground, and counting.....

and it was 65 Sunday.
Holy cow! I think it has snowed 4 or 5 flakes here.....nothing major whatsoever...it was beautiful yesterday, mid 50's....mid 60's saturday.

I thought MN winters were bad.....guess not anymore. Sheesh!
You ain't seen nothin' till you have seen a good 'ol Canadian winter.......................toughens you up.

I'm just glad that I live in southern Ontario. It's like the tropics compared to places like Winnepeg........................right Chuck, Chick?
Minus 6 celcius, lots of snow on the ground and we're still having barbeques here...nothing better than a grilled steak on a cold day. Even better when it hits minus 30 celcius.

Oh but my garage isn't heated so work on the car has pretty much come to a halt at this point....damn that metal can get cold. :(
BTB72-
We easily get 175"+ per year. Last year, we had ONE drop of 66". I think we hit 240" last year. And I'm only 20 min north of Syracuse. (199" last year) This was the 2nd snow of this year. First was just a ground cover, so it didn't count. No one around here starts to worry until it drops over a foot an hour. Conditioning!

I was in Minneapolis in 98. They got about a foot in November on a Thursday. It was still on the roads, when I left on Monday. Its cleared off the roads within an hour here. Our road crews are pretty awesome.
Back in the olden days when I lived up the hill from Dulut, we'd get snowfalls by the foot, Don't ya know? Seriously, friends that still live there say they don't get snow like it used to, snowmachines sales are hurting, sledders are not happy. It's almost liveable there now. Dan
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, can some one tell me about this "winter" you speak of? It sounds horrible.

ps.
wearing shorts today, but long sleeves cause its raining current temp is 65..

;)
damn it, we just got a damn cold front courtesy of Canada. now its gonna be 58 degrees for the next few days.... crap....
