Has anyone used the Eastwood glass polishing kit (or any other methods) to clean up wiper rash on a windshield. I have a 60 Pontiac (very large windshield) and am not sure how well polishing works. Can you wind up with swirl marks that are just as bad as the wiper rash? The scratches are light, can not feel anything with my finger nail. I am just not sure what to do and am getting tired of the glare from lights and the sun. Help, Gaylen

You can likely save about half by going to J C Whitney for their glass polishing kit. I've heard they are pretty good but you want to go slow and easy. If you go overboard, it is possible to make waves in the glass and that will make distorsion when you look through it.

I used the JC kit on my Henry J back glass- worked well - be patient and go slow- do not bear down or heat up the glass by staying too long in one place. It will NOT remove very deep scratches but it cleaned it up and took the 'haze' out well- (the car had been in a tornado)
