Does anyone have any pictures of the original 1959 Chevy Apache Panel Truck sway bar? Please no mods only originals.

I have to tell you, I am dying to see this too! I can't believe that there could have been a factory "sway bar" on this truck!

nope, never saw a stock one. not in the assembly manual either.

 

That is a good question over on the trivia thread. What was the first year for a factory sway bar on a Chevy pickup? I don't believe it was before 68. Other than the "locator" bar on the rear of the sixties trucks, no sway bar.

Even on the cars, I don't believe a Chevy passenger car before the sixties had them.

I have a 48 Chevy sedan here with one on it, and the last several That I have owned all had one too.

 

A sway bar, really? I didn't know.

my '51 Chevy has 1 too.. I really didn't expect to find 1 on it, but it's there

 

I have to assume I will have an "ah ha" moment when I see a photo or someting remembering that I had seen one in the past. But I still can't picture a stock sway bar on a 50's truck.
