hey everybody, hows life on the old hotrodding site, now the last
time i was here i asked a question about buying two rather high
priced classics, a bel air 409 and a 68 camaro ss396. i found a
better car instead, a 69 camaro SS with a 509 BBC under the hood
now to the point, i am going to to put better performance in the
engine all by my self. my question is are these parts compatible
in 4-bolt MK IV 509 big block. i would like to install Holley aluminum
heads with rectangular ports for the big block chevy; a Lunati
mechanical cam shaft with 308/316 duration and gross lift is
.651"/.632"; last is a Edelbrock dual quad intake for the rectangular port big block chevy with 2 manual choke, 750 CFM
Edelbrock performer 4 bbl. carburaters. these parts are for the
MK IV big block, but will they work with a 509 cube big block.
this is the first engine i will have ever worked on. thank you for
any advice.

i have a 67 GTO 4OO HO, A 69 DODGE CHARGER R/T SE AND A 1971 FORD MUSTANG BOSS 351. I AM 16 YEARS OLD AND KNOE A HELL OF ALOT ABOUT MUSCLE CARS FOR MY AGE.
How about some pics of the existing stable of hotrods? How much is the guy asking? Don't you need to have a drivers license first? Do you have any idea how much this stuff costs? Honestly QMK, how can you expect anyone to take what you say seriously? This is still my favorite post. :D

Have you ever visited Alberta by any chance?

OK QMK...you have had $19,000 rides, you've had all kinds of muscle cars. now you are gonna buy a Camaro with a 509 and improve the performance all by yourself even though it is the first engine you ever worked on!!!! Either you are a rich little spoiled kid who has an unlimited budget, you are fantasizing about daddies cars, or you have a stash of magazines a mile high that goes along with your vivid imagination. Until we all see some pics I am afraid everyone or almost everyone will start listing you as a troll. If you do not have a digital camera but can e-mail the pics, e-mail them to me and I will post them for you. Until that time I am also going to be skeptical. Sorry but that's the way it is. We've had too many trolls over the past few months that start out the same way. Here is my e-mail addy... jaw13@main-net.com

Troll alert, TROLL ALERT

If this kid, troll, has all these cars, troll, and his dad, troll, helps him buy these cars, troll, to keep him off drugs, troll, then great troll. I truly, troll, hope he,troll, enjoys this, troll, hobby. I smell smoke, does anyone else smell smoke, better ask QMK,troll, see what he knows.

Ha ha, no it's a Stonechihuahua and his multiple personalities thingy.:D He's from Ponoka, Alberta and begins every sentence with "hey" or "yeah so" and never capitilizes the first letter of his sentences.

Kinda leaves a fingerprint.

Some history. Wonder how the ol dog is doin? You still out there Dave? Haven't heard anything since he posted on Hotrodders Garage on how he got kicked off of here. I ask this safely now since my e-mail addy is now defunct, my work e-mail server has a new mail tracking system and spam spotter software in place and I have a nice router in place at home.

Oh yea he liked the thumbs up Smilie too.

Sniff...kinda brings a tear to my eye...sniff... It was certainly entertaining.

We still love you Dave. He is a genius ya know.:D

Once he serves his sentence he says he will be back.

Just like a soap-opera isn't it.:drunk:
