Is there a rear end that will fit width wise into a 63 nova? Looking to replace the 4 lug with a 5 lug. Or do we have to narrow something to fit?

A early Nova rear end is almost 58 inches wide ... measured this way.

A 57 to 59 Ford car 9 inch is the same width.
I have installed a few 57 - 59 Ford rears in Novas (62 to 67 all the same width ) ... IF you want to use a Chevrolet wheel pattern rear end ... just find a 65 to 67 Nova rear with 5 lug wheels.

Rear end swap
I had a 63 Nova SS and swapped in a rear from a Dodge Dart 8 3/4, the spring pads were right on and it was about 2" narrower ,u-joints were same diameter so original drive shaft worked too.I think you want to look for a 66-69 year just take a tape measure and go hunting,I got lucky and mine had the Sure-Grip posi,the bolt pattern is different 5 on 4 1/4" or 5 on 4 1/2"Good Luck!(also check 8 cyl Plymouth Dusters)
