Ok , I have a GM 7.50 ring & pinion. I am ordering a Auburn High
performance Carrier from Moser Eng. I am not removing the pinion just the carrier . The ring gear will transfer to the new unit , staying with 3.73 ratio . Be for removing the assemble i should check the backlash and the preload on the bearings correct ? On Assembly ALL that is needed is to rest both of these and all should be good ??? If this is not the way to do this please help me out to get this right .
