AED accelerator circuit clogged.

This is an AED 950 ho carburetor. Based on a 4150 Holly double Pumper.

I have narrowed down the problem to the Circuit between the two blue circles.
I'm sure the bowl full of black paint flaking off was not helping the issue. I have cleaned the bowl out, but I can't get the passage clear.
It seems like the gold piece that is down in the accelerator pump circuit has some trash and I can't get that thing out of there. I have turned it upside down, blown it with compressed air, and poked a paperclip in it.
Nothing is working. Its pretty stopped up.
I can see the paperclip on the secondary side when I poke it through, but can barely see light, or feel air when I hit it with the blowgun on the primary side.

It worked fine when I first got it, but over time it has just got plugged up.

I'm kind of disappointed because I paid around $1,000 for this stupid thing just to be full of black paint and trash inside the carburetor bowls.

Im wondering why they needed to paint in there anyways??

So after a bunch of work, it is flowing better.
Not as strong as the secondary side, but better than it was.

I took off the secondary side bowl, and it was full of black, flaky paint too. It was easy enough to clean out, I just blew it all out with an air gun. Secondary side works fine, it never had a problem.

I ended up using a 1/16 drill bit on the primary side by hand to clean it out, but it still needs work.

It looks like the brass seat circled in blue, is pressed in there somehow.

That brass seat is where the problem is.

Is there any way to get it out of the main body?

It is under the bullet shaped piece, which is under the squirter nozzle.

There should be either a check ball and weight or a weighted check valve. Is that white around the top RTV?

Bogie
Not rtv, just silver cast aluminum body. Appears white where the black finish is missing around the edges.

The weighted check valve is kinda shaped like a bullet, and goes straight down into the hole but is not in the picture. It points down into the seat, which is the gold piece in the bottom of the hole circled in blue. That's where the clog is.
It would be nice if I could remove the seat somehow, but it looks like its pressed down into the body.
I removed the baseplate, thinking I could push it up from the bottom but there is no access.

Check the metering block closely, clean it well, remove jets and power valve while cleaning.....if that black paint crap got into the accelerator pump circuit it could have just as easily gotten into the main wells, jets, and power valve channels.
Check every passage on the main body as well.
Air bleeds, booster legs, and the passages in the main body feeding them
This if you haven't already done it.
It may not be plugged now, but stuff already in the passages could later turn into a clog.

Would hate to see you go lean on one corner of the carb mid-pass and burn a piston or worse.

Under the squirters is just a needle from the needle and seat assembly

The accelerator pump circuit is either a pair of check balls in the bowl, or the rubber umbrella

If the carb sits a while, fuel can varnish the check needle under the squirters

Small pipe cleaners are your friend for that passage

Thanks guys for all your input!
So while I have you all here. Last night I had both a metering blocks and bowls off, I also removed the base of it.
The metering blocks have reusable gaskets on them and went back together fine. But between the base, and the main body there was a thin paper gasket that did not fare so well.
I just put it back together and went with it so I could drive my car out of the shop today.

Would anybody know a good part number for the gasket that goes between the base and the main body?
Remember, this is a 950, which is a hybrid. So would it take a standard gasket? And would anybody happen to know the part number?
I would just call AED and ask them, but they don't answer or return voicemails...

Thanks!
Is this base gasket a gasket I can use the vaseline trick on?
The original was stuck pretty good. I just jammed it back together. But I'm defenitely going to take this thing apart again, and clean it real good.
Both fuel bowls are squeaky clean inside right now, and as far as I can tell that was the only place that was flaking. The bowls, and metering blocks came off and went back together with no problems. Those gaskets are fine.

I've never been really deeper than that inside of a carburetor. Will I need gaskets for anything else in there, like when I take the boosters off and stuff?

My biggest fear is a spring, or a check ball popping out of some place, and I'll never be able to figure out how to put it back together! If it wasn't for that fear I would have a Quadrajet on this thing, and be able to tune it for sure!

The check valve under the nozzles is there to try &:keep some fuel in the circuit& also to prevent fuel being pulled / syphoned through the accelerator pump nozzles during medium to high engine speed , causing a very rich condition .
If that's powder coating in there , it's definitely failed ,on stock Holley there's a round paper gasket under the shooters
