I don't have an impact. My garage is equipped with hand tools only. I've run into the challenge of a ball joint stud that is spinning with the castle nut. The stud doesn't have an allen head cut into the stud so I have no means of securing the stud.
Does anyone have any tricks here? On one of them I was able to get a pick into the cotter pin hole to hold it. I also found myself wondering if maybe applying some more jack pressure to maybe drive the stud into the hole for the interference fit might be the answer.
