no you cant put BB heads on a SB. The Boss Ford heads were not big block heads. they had canted valves like some big blocks, but that doesnt make it a big block. big blocks dont share same bore spacing as small blocks. Alot of people think that 351Clevelands & Ms & 400 Fords are big blocks cause of the cylinder head design...but its still a small block.

sorry, forgot 1 thing. The SB2 head like you see on Winston Cup motors have a simialer design to a big block in some ways, thats as close as you can get on a small block

I just can't tell why nobody likes you Auto-Part, I try and I try but I just can't figure it out.

Theres no such thing as a stupid question, just stupid answers. I think yours is proof. Just answer the questions from now on, no smart *** answers, if you don't know (which I doubt you do) keep your mouth shut.

Did I mention go away?

SMALL CHEVY CANTED VALVES

This is a simple question, and the simple answer is no you can't physically bolt big block chevy heads to a small chevy block.
There have been experimental canted valve heads developed for the small block chevy, extensively tested by Smokey Yunick. His conclusion was that they really didn't deliver the extra power they were expecting, and the development was scrapped.
I have built 90 degree Chevrolet V-6s equipped with canted valves, but when the 18 degree stuff hit the market, it made them kind old news. The SB2 stuff now commonly used as the top dog small Chevy head right now is the ultimate power builder available, and about as close as you will get to porcupine heads for your mouse (at least what is readily availabe.)

Dude, the inane putdowns suck. If the guy doesn't know, at least he's got the balls to ask. That takes a lot more than it does for you to consistently slam everybody that asks a question that you don't deem worthy. If you have something pertinent to contribute, do so, if not, shut up. I think you just need a serious :spank: If you want to talk like your five years old, prepare to get treated like it.

Instead of answering ridiculous posts you should just ignore them, leave the moderating to the mods please.

Your cooperation is appreciated, thank you.:)

Don't know what I was thinking...

I'm such a dufus that I don't know when to keep my mouth shut. I really need to seek some medical counseling for my disorder, perhaps a lobotomy would be in order.

Please accept my apologies for being such a pain in the you-know-what.:)

im not siding with auto part i just think that was a ridiculous question if you look at a small block and look at bbc heads you can obviously tell and why would you do it anyway your cc's would be so big you would have no compression.
im not trolling or siding im telling it like it is.
and if i offended anyone i apologize ill take it easier in the future

There is only one answer for this question and that is NO. a simple answer would have been great. Why does everyone have to beat on everyone else, what the H--- does Ford have to do with Chevy. They won't fit either and he didn't ask about sb2s. A couple years ago that question would have been answered that way, No they don't fit,the same as a 409 intake won't bolt on a 348,put on your thinking hats guys...
