I have seen these suckers sell for $2,500 U.S with carbs. Seems like the guy wants to cash in. I think these were dealer installed items for the Camaro 302's only good in road racing applications. Not worth squat performance wise on the street.

My Aunt had one of these intakes on her 69 Z-28 and talk about awesome performance, she used to race against a B/Stock 428CJ Mustang coupe and would beat it everytime out. Intake was good up to 9000 and the little 302 in that Z would turn it. Wish she still had it, but something broke in the frontend on day and it got totaled. I heard the engine wound up in a dirt track stock car. I agree it's a little steep but some restorer will eventually pay the price if they want it bad enough. My one uncle used to have one also but sold all the exotic stuff he had when I was around 14. Every thing including tunnel rams, cross rams, transmissions, carbs, fuelie heads and blocks. Ah for the good ol' days.

That intake is probably worth $5 - 7,000 to the right person , the whole set up probably goes $10 - 15,000.

This is gonna sound like a tall tale but........................about 20 yrs ago I bought a complete matching #'s 69 Z/28 cross ram intake set up , intake , carbs , linkage ,complete air cleaner and fuel lines , it came from a drag racer who had taken it off a 69 Z/28 in the early 70's . I sent it over to my bud at Flatlanders in Norfolk VA and he sold it for me to Floyd Garret , of the muscle car museum fame, for $1,500 . So I can say a made a worthwhile contribution to the display at Floyd Garrets' place

Floyd Garrett

hey stitch, that is awesome. I went to Floyd garret's museum in Seiverville, TN (sorry about the spelling) on a trip I took out to NC to look at UNC charlotte. We stopped at a campground right down the street from the museum. My dad and bros and i went nuts there, that is a really cool place. Nice job on the contribution! I was there about two years ago, so I don't know if i saw the induction setup or not. Either way, that's cool.

That guy must be sniffing glue.about 2 years ago,I came accross a bunch of rare stuff that I sold on Ebay. The stuff was from a friend who was managinging the estate sale of a deceased race car/hot rod builder.
We had 3 brand new 1969 covette L88 crate motors in the boxes from 1969.Never ran,or opened. They were actually rare unassembled units that were inteneded to be sold to racers. Each consisted of all the parts needed to build the entire engine but in boxes, and all were date coded to dates that could have been used to replacte or repair any corvette or COPO car.2 sold locally, and one made it to Eaby.We got $4500 for the thing complete from pan to carb.We also had a rare shortblock that is actually the 327 HEMI chevy mystery motor. It seems the heads were stolen, but we have the bottom end and intake, both of which are radically different from a standard 327 chevy. It has a bigblock sized timing cover and crank snout, and GM pistons that have a Hemi type dome on them, and the lifter valley is cast in a scalloped shape to clear the pushrods. The guy also had a 427 mystery motor, which I believe the family sold to the Garlits museum.Right now in the shop,we have 2 more brand new 454 bare blocks from 1973 stitting still in crates,as well as dozens of sets of GM forged bigblock pistons and rods brand new in the boxes. We can ahrdly give the stuff away.I doubt anybody will pay $7500 for that manifold.a few weeks ago and entire date code correct ZL1 engine sold for $16,000,and that was a running turn ket piece{it was hot rodded, but had the right block, heads and crank.so why would this guy expect $7500 for that intake.Heck it is hard to find anybody with $7500 cash to buy the 69 Z28 that thing is supoosed to be on.I bet he will be putting that thing back on his shelf for a while.

67-69 Z/28 parts are perhaps the most highly prized Chevy parts, even more so than the fabled ZL1. I have a friend who is a Camaro freak and believes in dated accuracy in his cars. He has had several 69 Z/28's since I have known him. He is currently building a 69 Z/28 body that he got his hands on after a 20 year effort. The popularity of Z/28's, specifically the 69 Z/28 borders on hysteria. Parts such as smog pumps, things that we took off and threw away 30 years ago bring enormous amounts of money today. The Z/28 cross ram intake is even more valuable than the early Corvette FI setup. I personally do not know anyone who has paid that much for a cross ram intake, but I do know that some have been bought for almost that much.

I said I wasn't going to post on any of Auto Farts posts, but
I ,ve got to do it anyway.

I want the phone number for that Z28.
Any one who knows where there is any of those intakes let me know, I will pay a finders fee..I will take all you can haul in a pickup at that price.

Oh, and I'll take a couple of those ZL1 engines, at that price also.
