I have a new vortec 350 I purchased from summit sometime ago. It has 4200 miles on it now and I'm going to change the pistons in it with the flat top pistons and rings moly. How would you prep the cylinders or would you just clean them up with lint free rags and actone?

I'd ball hone it, 320 grit, 10 strokes and 3 more to opposite way at home using 1/3 ATF and 1/3 WD40 and a 10W-30 engine oil. Clean it good and send it.
Many people think the rings dicate the hone but the cast block is determines the ring hone.
Cast blocks and race blocks get different hone grits and patterns.
