Do SBC and BBC mount in the same position?

Does an early SBC (1970's) mount in the same spot as a BBC?

If you have a SBC in a 70ish Camaro can you just yank it out and drop in a BBC? I'm just asking about the mounting aspects.

Do the early BBC's have the same mount positions as late (Gen VI) BBC's?

look at the top of the main page...next to bulletin board or a search site

press search then put "motor mount" in the space to be searched and press the button and it will take you to posts on motor mounts already asked and answered questions.

Yes you can. I bought a 72 Camaro that had a small block in it and my 454 bolts right to the motor mounts in my test fit session. I have it all back apart now to clean and paint everything before final install.

Yes, I ran both Big and small blocks in my 70 Z-28 Camaro.
